Leica began a brand new series of digital cameras with the X1, a high-end compact with a fixed lens. The Leica X1 is similar to the Sigma DP2 in concept. The X1 comes with an APS-C CMOS sensor that is included in many DSLRs, and boasts all the manual functionality of one too, but comes in a rather compact body.
