This Carl Zeiss super wide-angle zoom lens can focus as close as 1 inch (0.28 m) and has 0.24 maximum magnification. It features image stabilization and a Super Sonic wave Motor for quick and quiet AF. Auto Clutch, still the manual focus ring during AF and an Auto Hold button lets you lock in a focus setting. Focus Hold also enables image preview with the α900 D-SLR. The lens is built with 17 elements in 13 groups including ED glass and aspherical elements and T-star (T*) coating to reduce ghosting and flare.
