Both Olympus cameras have the same image sensor, but they are housed in completely different bodies. The E-P1’s design has a retro look and leaves off typical SLR features like the optical viewfinder and the flash. Those can be added as optional accessories, which give it a bulkier, less balanced look and feel. The Olympus E-620 is the more traditional SLR-styled camera body with its large right hand grip and typical viewfinder/flash hump on top. The E-620 is bigger than the E-P1, but is still not considered a large DSLR. We like the retro design of the E-P1; it certainly turned more heads than the conventional E-620.
