These cameras are completely different in this area. The Olympus E-620 has a door on its side that accepts CompactFlash and xD media along with a tiny rubber door on the back that hides its USB/AV jack. The E-P1 has a door on its side that opens to reveal the USB/AV and HDMI jacks. Its memory card slot, for SD and SDHC media, is located with the battery in the compartment at the bottom of the camera. Both cameras have a hot shoe for optional flash accessories.
Both models have an optional remote cable release, but no wireless remote control. Neither camera has a port for a power adapter, which shows that Olympus doesn’t intend for these cameras to sit in a studio. They are portable – the E-P1 more so – and meant to be out and about running on batteries.
