H2H ROUND-4: File Size

H2H USER SCORE
View Official Scorecard

File size is what’s often referred to as “overhead”. It’s the price you pay for a big, high-resolution sensor, and it’s not at all unlike the days of film. If you shot 120 film you tended to shoot a lot less than 35mm in the same shoot. Granted, you’re not paying for film anymore, but still, the time and storage issues for writing, copying, sorting and saving files from a shoot like this get astronomical very quickly. When we talk about the big, MFDB files then we’ll really see that point made, but the point remains, if you don’t need the resolution you may want to consider the camera with a smaller file.
