If you’re looking at adding a camera to your kit so you have backup (usually by bumping your old camera to backup status), then consistency in control layout and menu structure is important. With the 7D there are a few things that have moved around, and there’s a potential for a minor annoyance there. The menus on the cameras have, thankfully, remained consistent throughout the line.
