Both Kubota and RPG Keys put a wealth of support information and contact points up, including a "Help Desk."

The Kubota action pack is easier to use and more streamlined out-of-the-box. It offers drag-and-drop functionality and is effectively a condensed, parsed-down version of the larger RPG Keys. At first blush, the breadth of compatibility and customization of the RPG Keys may be intimidating to some, who may prefer to take a smaller step in adapting to the SpeedKeys.

Both providers, RPG Keys and Kubota, offer first-rate customer support with excellent responsiveness across contact options (via phone, e-mail, or virtual support, available on both the RPG Keys and Kubota websites). The programs similarly integrate a wealth of organized, topic-specific video instruction.

Setup, installation, customization, and usage are fairly straight-forward with both devices. The learning curve is principally comprised of the time it takes to for you to learn and remember the key placements.

The photographers we spoke with during our evaluation period all seemed to adapt quickly. We can attest; after one or two typical weddings (~1,100 files), your fingers will have the keyboard down and it will become much quicker and more fluid.
