The RPG Keys software applies to both the large and small keypads and maintains the hardware’s utilitarian interface. Kubota -- staying equally true to form -- stylizes the user interface on the Kubota RPG Keys software, streamlining it with drag-and-drop functionality that makes it initially a bit quicker and more intuitive.

The full RPG software is available for a number of programs, extending well beyond LR + PS and the realm of digital photography (note the compatible programs listed in the dropdown below).

 

In terms of presets, the principle difference here is the inclusion of Kubota’s most popular Lightroom presets in the Kubota SpeedKeys pack. Obviously, photographers drawn to Kubota’s Lightroom presets alone would be well served by also investing in the mini keys.

However, those users more interested in creating their own presets or utilizing ones they’ve already developed in Lightroom, RPG’s software pack includes a hefty set of presets, along with a staggering amount of custom control, enabling users to completely individualize their workflow.
