Desktop 2010Help, Tutorials, Tip BoxesBy Alex BurackBoth yearbook programs build ample support and tutorial information into their software to assist users with specific questions, troubleshooting, and general instruction. Video tutorials and help sections are relevant, professionally produced, and easily located. Additionally, there are support forums and community discussions available through both manufacturers.
In comparison, the video tutorials included in LumaPix YearbookFusion’s software are far more comprehensive than Pelican Software’s multi-media instruction. LumaPix indexes a collection of instruction videos by subject matter to enable users to identify and access areas of functionality quickly and efficiently. Pelican Software’s integrated video support is not nearly as comprehensive, covering more generalized areas of functionality with less detail given to a particular feature or desired effect.
Fortunately, LumaPix and Pelican’s yearbook software both include deep help sections, accessible within their respective software’s headers.
