Canon 5D Mark II Firmware Update Allows Manual Control for Movies

Canon has announced a few improvements for the EOS 5D Mark II DSLR. The manufacturer is offering a firmware update which offers users more flexibility with the camera’s HD movie mode. The announcement was made on May 27, and the free upgrade was made available from the camera’s support Web site on June 1.

Olympus Unveils Digital "PEN" Series with E-P1

On June 16, Olympus unveiled a new category of camera. It is neither a point-and-shoot nor a digital single lens reflex. Reviving the “PEN” series, Olympus is calling its newest digital creation the E-P1. This 12.3-megapixel camera has the same Four Thirds sensor as its E-30 and E-620 DSLR siblings, but the body of the E-P1 is less than an inch-and-a-half thick.
