Fujifilm added three more digital cameras to its arsenal of budget models. The Fujifilm FinePix Z35 comes in bold two-tone colors and is designed to appeal to youth, while the FinePix A170 and J30 are more traditional compact digital cameras with basic specs. The new models, announced July 22, will be released in August and September.

All three new digital cameras come in compact camera bodies and with 16 scene modes along with movie modes. The new models have automatic scene recognition that allows the camera to detect certain scenes and choose from a selection of six modes. They also come with face detection, which has become a standard feature these days. Like most budget-conscious digital cameras, these FinePix models have simple 3x optical zoom lenses.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z35 and the FinePix A170 both have 10 megapixels, while the FinePix J30 comes with 12 megapixels. The spunky Z35 comes in a form that is only 0.9 inches thick. Fujifilm’s press release claims that “this camera is just so easy to carry, even when slipped into the tightest of jean pockets.” The two-toned camera comes in several color combinations including white/pink, black/silver, apple/green, and true blue/deep purple. The FinePix Z35 also flaunts its “blog mode and in-camera editing to make image transfer a quick process for the web-savvy younger generation.

The Z35 has a 2.5-inch LCD screen, but the Fujifilm FinePix A170 and J30 models have larger 2.7-inch LCD screens. All three monitors carry 230,000 pixels of resolution. The Fujifilm FinePix J30 and A170 are about an inch thick. The 12-megapixel J30 comes in pink, silver, and black colors. Pricing has not yet been announced for the three new models, but prices are expected to hover under $200.
