Panasonic’s new line of Dual Cameras targets consumers who are looking for an easy-to-use 'hybrid' device that captures full HD video and high resolution stills. The HX-WA10, the HX-DC10, and the HX-DC1, all sport a vertical design with separate video/photo capture buttons negating the need to switch between the two settings.
The three cameras capture full-High Definition videos (1920 x 1080) as well as MPEG-4 AVC file format (MP4), which makes uploading images to the Internet or editing on a computer quick and convenient. Each model is equipped with a powerful 5x optical zoom, Electronic Image Stabilizer, Panasonic’s iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, Face Detection, Stereo microphones, and a Mini HDMI Terminal.
The HX-WA10 and HX-DC10 offer 16 megapixel still photos and include Panasonic’s Backside Illumination (BSI) technology which is designed for shooting in low light conditions. The HX-DC1 captures 14 megapixel still images.
All three can take up to 2 megapixel stills photos while recording full-HD videos. The HX-WA10, the lone waterproof model, will operate at depths down to approximately 10 feet.
